Oil Refining
Refining and trading are Kom Munal too oil & Gas’s two commercial segments. The Kom Munal too oil & Gas processes more than 500,000 barrels per day because to partnerships with big refineries in China and Russia. This facility handles product supply, bio and intermediate feedstock, gas logistics, and operations at the Kom Munal too oil & Gas. goods produced at the Kom Munal too oil & Gas, including petrochemicals. In Russia and China, it operates three competitive inland refineries with an annual capacity of 17.8 million tonnes.
With the support of specialists from the Institute for Issues of Hydrocarbon Processing of the Kazakhstan Academy of Sciences, the company is updating its lineup of catalytic cracking catalysts. The Kazakhstan Institute of Catalysis is in charge of developing catalysts for hydro-processes. Kazakhstani researchers have previously developed catalysts for hydrotreating middle distillates, allowing them to make a product that is sulfur-free and complies with all Euro-5 requirements. Recently, the Company’s refining efforts have been focused on meeting the demand for premium petroleum products on the market.
Kom Munal too oil & Gas has been able to expand its product range, improve product quality, and increase its competitiveness with the aid of refinery renovations over time. An important turning point in Kazakhstan’s history was marked by the rehabilitation of this oil refinery. According to TR TS 013/2017 Technical Regulations, environmental class K5 motor fuels were produced at a 100% rate for the Kazakh internal market during the implementation of this program. From 2018, a number of the Company’s refineries have been producing motor gasoline with enhanced operational and environmental features, such as AI-95-K5 Euro-6 and AI-100-K5.
In addition to other petroleum products, the refinery produces liquid paraffin, aromatics, roofing, and insulation materials. The refinery creates products that meet worldwide quality standards, including bitumens, jet fuel, roofing materials, diesel fuel, and other goods. Every year, the Kom Munal too oil & Gas increases the size of its industrial complex. In order to enhance industrial and environmental safety, raise petroleum product quality, lower operating expenses, and do all of this while reducing costs, the refinery is developing a tiered process flow diagram innovation strategy.
